My Favorite Workouts

Peace

Earlier this week I shared that I generally prefer cardio workouts and specifically LOVE dancing. Whenever I am working out at the gym, I am 99% of the time doing a version of HIIT or High Intensity Interval Training on the elliptical, cycling, or treadmill. If you aren’t familiar with HIIT, it consists of a warm up period following high intensity exercises at maximum effort followed by medium effort, repeat. These workouts can vary in length and I personally prefer a minimum of 30-45 minutes.  I’ve recently became a huge fan of Tabata which is a specific type of HIIT. Tabata consists of 4 minute workouts that are 20 seconds of intense exercise and 10 minute rest.

There are many different ways of incorporating Tabata workouts into your routine such as cycling, kettlebells, push ups, or squats.

I’ve been watching hip hop dance workouts by Keaira Lashae on YouTube and her videos are so much fun! Its like she’s your friend with you turning up at the club. I can’t help but smile whenever I am doing these workouts. Now, they are very challenging but you can have fun with it!

I hope that you have enjoyed this post and I look forward to sharing more with you about how I keep my body moving.

Let me know if it went if you try these workouts or tell me about your own favorite version of HIIT workouts!
